The exchange excepted below reminded me of the woman from Montana who
complained on NPR this week that the media presents a stereotyped image
of the place as full of kooks, loners, and cultists.  Then she said, in
the sweestest voice, "Some of us just choose not to live in that urban
jungle."  Oy vay.
