Bhaskar: You might want to write to: The Homeplace-1850 TVA's Land Between the Lakes 100 Van Morgan Dr. Golden Pond, Kentucky 42211 The Homeplace is a living history farm located in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. The site itself interprets the culture and environment of 1850 but I think what you might find most interesting for your study is the overall recreation area. It is located between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley--two man made lakes that were created when the Tennessee Valley Authority flooded the Cumberland and Tennessee rivers. In 1964, when the National Recreation Area was created, several thousand people were removed from the area formerly known as "Between the Rivers." Anyway, I think it might be a good case study for your work. Best Wishes, Jay Smith Reno County Museum Hutchinson, Kansas
