Conceptual art is concerned with the artist working. Art museums are concerned with the work the artist produces. What we don't have are adequate venues for presenting the artist working and the attempts we see in the museum environment often misrepresent the artist since a flowing process is frozen at one point. This was also a problem for Leonardo da Vinci whose work is now inadequately represented by his paintings. -- ROBBIN MURPHY, creative director, artnetweb [log in to unmask] -- http://artnetweb.com 426 Broome Street, NYC 10013 212 925-1885 NEW THIS WEEK: http://artnetweb.com/resource/new.html
