[Cross-posted to lists on which this subject was discussed previously: LIBRARY, LIS-LINK, MUSEUM-L, PACS-L, ARCH-L, ARCH-THEORY, ARTIFACT, and HISTARCH] Over a year ago I posted a message to this list about a project I was doing for the Council for British Archaeology, funded by the British Library. It was to study ways in which the back files and future issues of the British Archaeological Bibliography might be made available in electronic forms, such as CD-ROM or on the Internet. I had some useful contributions from list members, some of whom asked to be told the outcome. The results may also be useful to publishers of other small bibliographic services. The report was published as: Electronic distribution of small specialist bibliographies: the case of the British Archeological Bibliography. [London] : British Library Research and Development Department, 1995. (British Library R&D Report 6201) 65p. It is now also available on the Internet, in various forms suitable for reading online or downloading, and can be accessed on the British Academy's web site: http://britac3.britac.ac.uk:80/cba/pubs/babrep/ Leonard Will -- Dr Leonard D Will Tel: +44 181 372 0092 Information Management Consultant Fax: +44 181 372 0094 27 Calshot Way, ENFIELD, Middlesex Email: [log in to unmask] EN2 7BQ, United Kingdom
