I am forwarding this from the ARCH-L group (archaeology), because I felt it has relevance to the recent thread on time capsules. Can anyone help him? You can send the information directly to him, or put them on the list and I will forward them to Mark. Thanks. They are dedicating a new courthouse and would like to open the time capsule placed in the corner stone of the old one. Just one problem - they do not want to tear down the old courthouse! The capsule is a copper box (10" by 10" by 14") located somewhere within a large L-shaped limestone block (ca 30" thick, 17" tall) that is capped by another similar block, with the rest of the building rising above that. If they knew where the capsule was located, they could cut into the block and remove it, but they do not want to start cutting at random. Does anyone know of an effective method for locating the capsule? Thanks, -Mark Schurr ****************************************************************** Mark R.
