The Amistad Research Center is seeking additional venues for a
1997-98 travelling exhibition of Jacob Lawrence's Toussaint L'Ouverture
Series (1938-39).
        This collection of works from the Center's permanent museum
holdings, is the artists' first historical narrative series.  It consists
of forty-one 11 x 19" panels.  All are framed and under glass.
