Please respond to the postal address below. * * * * * * * * Employment Opportunity ASSISTANT CURATOR The successful applicant will undertake public relations, educational, curatorial planning and implementation, plus other general museum duties as may occur in a medium-sized community museum. DUTIES Under the general direction of the Museum Director/Curator, the successful applicant will: - assist in the promotion and distribution of museum information; - research and develop exhibition narratives and concepts; - design and install exhibits; - develop, direct and/or conduct educational programmes; - plan, teach and/or supervise school curricula related programmes in the museum and in the classroom; - initiate and/or supervise the scheduling of tours and school visits; - develop, evaluate and report on creative teaching strategies for all levels of education, including adult education, using artifacts and specimens from the collection and exhibits in consultation with museum and education colleagues; and - train, supervise and evaluate the performance of docents, guides and related temporary staff.
