Hello everyone!

Pardon my jumping in, but I am on a noble mission(?). I have been
approached by a friend, with the following question.

An organization devoted to preserving and maintaining old musical
instruments has received a bequest including a good deal (for the
organization) of older sheet music pieces. My friend, the secretary/
librarian for the organization, has some experience working in a
museum environment, but not with sheet music. She is looking for
ideas and/or sources for materials to help preserve and store the
sheet music. Obviously (perhaps), since the organization is a relatively
small one, she is hoping to find a financially prudent strategy for
preserving the sheet music.

(Lest you ask, she approached me because I work at the Library of Congress.
Well, yes, except that I am not a MLS, but a Computer Specialist <G>! So
I thought I would check with you here, in addition to my local resources!)

Thank you so much in advance, both on my friend's and my own behalf!

Email or posted responses welcome.
