OK, I publicly apologize for my pet peeve outburst. It's
          just that it's a *museum* we're dealing with, in a press
          release. Having spent a fair amount of time looking at
          pictures from what used to be called the "primitive" period
          of italian art, through the 15th century, I have become
          acclimated to seeing names used properly. Call em what you
          will, OK by me, but the proper way of doing it is that the
          first name is the real identifier, with the da or della or
          di being more or less secondary to the identification of the
          individual.

          With my nose high up in the air, and out of joint,
          Snobbishly but respectfully,

          Eric Siegel

          @nybg.org?) naaaahhhh.
