Dear listmembers, Wasn't there something on House museums on this list a couple of months ago as well? I can't quite remember what it was about, but I did follow it for my own House (18th C with chinese wallpaper) and someone (don't know which list member, sorry) sent me a very valuable suggestion that I'd like to pass on to the list now that the subject arises again (with credit to that unknown list member): Historic House Museum; a practical handbook for their care, preservation and management. By Sherry Butcher - Younghans. Oxford University Press (New York, Oxford) 1993. Besides a general introduction on important matters for Historic Houses, it does mention a lot of examples as well. Hope this is any help. With best wishes, Jaap Boter ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ [log in to unmask] | Life is like a sewer: arts administration & management | what you get out of it, utrecht university | depends on what you put into it
