This is a comment on the use and definition of teams in general.
Certainly management styles change, but a team is not a committee. Team
building is a learned skill. Teams are not appropriate for every
situation and project, nor do they need to be used across an institution in
order to be a viable way to work. There is much written about teams in the
business world, where the idea of teams was first developed to begin with.
The use of teams is one aspect of leadership and management styles, and ref-
erences to the use of teams are often found in general reference to management
