I apologize if I have seemed to be advertising my organization's services -- we try to be extremely sensitive to the appearance of self-advertisement, and I'm sorry that I apparently failed failed in some eyes on this occasion. Re-reading my postings to the list at large, I note that I recommended first that the poster contact the AIC referral service and a local museum for referral to a local conservator, noted the availability of the geographically closest regional center (not my own), and finally offered myself as a source willing to give advice on the discipline I know (not the one required in this case). I don't know how to be more even handed. Does CIPP have its own referral service, and should I add that to my list?
