LAST CALL FOR PAPERS Electronic imaging and computer-assisted graphics are increasingly important in museum and archaeological work, in areas as diverse as education, gallery display, scientific examination, excavation and fieldwork. To provide a forum for workers in these fields to share experience and expertise, the British Museum is hosting a conference for which papers are invited. The response to the first call resulted in offers of papers from a wide range of disciplines including: 3D Reconstruction of Archaeological and Architectural Sites Image Processing for Conservation, Analysis and Art Historical Research Multimedia, Computer Animation and Image Databases Geographic Information Systems Some of the papers address specific projects, others take a more theoretical stance address the use of computers within Museums now and in the next millennium. The organisers intend to offer a platform to suit all researchers in this field whether they have completed a major project or wish to describe work in progress. Anyone wishing to present a paper or poster should submit an abstract as soon as possible or by 15th August 1994 at the latest. Abstracts should fit on a single side of A4 paper and must include the title of the paper and names and addresses of authors. If you intend to demonstrate software or equipment please send details of your space, hardware and other requirements by 15th August 1994. If you simply wish to attend please send details your name and address to be added to the mailing list. Registration forms will be mailed in August 1994. The conference will be in English, is non-residential and there will be no parallel sessions. The organisers regret that they cannot offer financial assistance to delegates.
