All the body parts being mentioned in today's round of the Ghoulish request remind me of a question my then 4 yr. old son posed to me one rainy Saturday while we were actually visiting MPM. "Mom, can I be in an exhibit at the museum when I die?" I was a little nonplussed but took his comments as a tribute to the skills of our taxidermists and exhibit designers. I hastened to assure him that the figures on exhibit were sculpted, not mounted, models. Sorry, Dean et al., not being a native I can't confirm any Santa's Villages between Milwaukee and Chicago but my husband, who grew up in this area, recalls that there was a Santa's Village in Wisconsin Dells, a favorite vacation spot for generations of Midwestern tourists. If your memories place American Indians anyplace in the vicinity of the Santa's Village, then it was probably the Dells. * Judy Turner * [log in to unmask] * * Milwaukee Public Museum * 414/278-2730 * * 800 W.
