Job Announcement Director, Conner Museum Texas A&M University-Kingsville announces an opening for Director of the Joh n E. Conner Museum. The Director is responsible for fiscal management, includi ng budget planning, proposal writing, and foundation requests. The candidate should have a knowledge of standard museum practices, including collections man agement, exhibit development, and public programming. The director manages a s taff of full-time professional employees and volunteers in a small general muse um, and interacts with the university faculty and staff, local tourism industry , and area educational institutions. A knowledge and appreciation of Texas history, the Spanish language, and Border lands culture an asset. A Master's degree in history, natural history, museum studies or a related field, with a minimum of five years experience in museums required.
