Primary duties are the design and production management of interactive exhibitions. Responsibilities include prototyping, fabrication, and managing the ongoing maintenance of exhibitions. REQUIREMENTS: -- Proven skills in 3-dimensional design and drafting. -- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; demonstrated knowledge of interactive exhibit methods. -- Ability to take exhibits through all stages of development, including concept development, design, and fabrication. -- Prior experience in project management and team exhibition planning. -- Familiarity with graphic design and production methods. -- Strong communication and teamwork skills. DESIRABLE: -- B.A. in sculpture, industrial design, architectural or environmental design. -- Strong technical skills in woodworking, metalworking, plastics, lighting and electrical work; experience with electronic and mechanical systems. -- Working knowledge of exhibit prototyping, audio-visual program design, and conservation methods.
