Yes, as a matter of fact I have seen it... in the airport at San Francisco. In October (when I was waiting for a connection) the airport was hosting an exhibit on horses, and the moving walkway took you behind the cases featuring the carousel horses. I have to say of couse that these moving walkways were in the airport long before the horse exhibit was, but whoever set up the exhibit did a fairly good job of installing the pieces so that they could be viewed clearly from the walkway. I jumped off in time to really get a good look though. I was not really impressed by the feature that news offered concerning the crown jewels simply because it was contradictory. The exhibit designer/director states that they have set up the walkway so that visitors can get a good look at the objects without being rushed through and at the next moment they are showing two men who are obviously quite transfixed by what they are seeing as they are zoomed past the case. IMHO, I don't think they got the "good look" they had waited all morning for. Karen J. Kroslowitz phone: 808-848-4118 Natural Sciences, Malacology fax: 808-841-8968 Bernice P.
