[Sorry to have taken so long to respond to this -- experimentation to verify that these settings were available took a lot longer than I ever imagined.] DG> = Douglas Greenberg <[log in to unmask]> DG> Can't the listserv software be set to accept the DIGEST command? DG> The number of messages is overwhelming and could easily be dealt DG> with if we could digest them daily as most listservs permit. The number of messages (ten to fifteen a day?) is pretty low, compared to many mailing lists I've been on. But, in any case, choosing the format of your subscription is up to the individual subscriber. If you'd like to receive a single message containing all the messages posted in a given day, send the line: SET MUSEUM-L DIGEST in the _body_ of your e-mail message, to <[log in to unmask]>. To change back, substitute "MAIL" for "DIGEST". Other options include the "INDEX" mode, which is just like "DIGEST", except that it drops the body texts of the messages, and gives you only the subject lines, posters, message lengths, and times and dates of posting; and "NOMAIL", which allows you to suspend receiving posts from the list until you issue one of the other commands. +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Some days you wake and immediately start worrying.
