I'm forwarding this for your considered group opinion. The CAAH list posts art and architecture ToCs, I don't know where the monitor gets them but it looks like from the publishers. The list-owner has informed me that MUSEUM-L will soon have expanded facilities (like archives) or perhaps things like ToCs, abstracts and summaries deserve a list of their own. Since we are such a diverse group that has the common bond of "museums" I think this is the perfect place to collect information...as long as we don't flood each other's mailboxes. Meanwhile, I working on a summary of the NYT Questions and will flood your mailbox with it soon. :-} And, yes, I am a he. Robbin (the guy) Murphy [log in to unmask] ================FORWARDED MESSAGE================================= ToCs--interesting idea--Keith Dewar, who operates the list HERITAGE from Massey University, has recently asked for volunteers to read in ToCs. I offered to do one or two, and sent him by snail the list of 150 journals and newsletters received at the Center for Historic Preservation (I told him I could do something basic such as _History News_ [I think many on his list would not see it] or something as abstruse as a local archaeological journal. I haven't heard anything by either mail (his line was jammed up while he was away) but at minimum I would think you would want to know his plans, as they might relate to yours. His direct line is [log in to unmask] In addition to ToCs of print there are also ToCs of electronic journals (Architronic, for instance), and perhaps one of the services that ought to be contemplated is simply listing the lists on which you can get ToCs of either print of electronic journals, related to our interests.
