This message is being posted to both ARCH-L and MUSEUM-L CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT IMAGING THE PAST: Electronic Imaging and Computer Graphics in Museums and Archaeology A conference to be held at The British Museum, London. 3-5 November 1994 FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT Electronic imaging and computer-assisted graphics are increasingly important in museum and archaeological work, in areas as diverse as: - education - gallery display - scientific examination - excavation and fieldwork To provide a forum for workers in these fields to share experience and expertise, the British Museum is hosting a conference, for which indications of interest are now invited. Offers of papers are also welcome although a formal Call for Papers will be issued later. It is hoped to publish the conference proceedings.
