The Children's Museum of Washington (D.C.) seeks a bright, enthusiastic person
who loves working with children, to plan and implement the museum's pilot
year of programming.
 
The Children's Museum of Washington, a non-profit organization situated
on a 12 acre wilderness setting with cave, creek and the only existing one-
room schoolhouse in the District of Columbia, will provide hands-on
educational opportunities for school-age children.  Our mission is to
instill a sense of stewardship for the natural environment.
 
DUTIES:  Responsibe for ongoing development and implementation of
exhibits (interactive and self-directed); public education programs
(school, multicultural and outreach programs); supervision and training
of docent and adolescent staff programs and teacher workshops; and
grant preparation for educational programs.
 
SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communication skills; computer
competency; three years of education or teaching experience.
