Hello everyone,
On behalf of the entire team, I would like to warmly invite you to join us this evening live from NYC via Zoom (7p ET / 4p PT) for our weekly free and interactive tour.
#151 Considering Art: Considering Graffiti - featuring urgent work by Amy Sherald.
Born in Columbus, Georgia, and now based in the New York City area, Amy Sherald (she/her) documents contemporary African American experience in the United States through arresting, intimate portraits. Sherald engages with the history of photography and portraiture, inviting viewers to participate in a more complex debate about accepted notions of race and representation, and to situate Black life in American art.
In this tour, we embark on some close looking.
Together we ask: What do you see?
