As an artist, Price actively pushes beyond the replication of the archival photographic images that often inspire his large-format works, deviating away from that of the indexical toward the rendering of a more visceral and lived experience. This highly charged embodiment, and with it the transformation of printed images, results in creating a practice rich in layered media, transitory materials, and the emergence of a new physicality of texture.
