***Contracting Webinar Series Starts July 14th***

***Attention Independent Contractors: The Service Agreement Template Coming
Soon!****
The ARCS Board and the Professional Development Resources Sub-Committee
are pleased to announce a new resource for independent contractors: the
ARCS Service Agreement a.k.a. Contract Template. With the realization that
many ARCS members have become independent contractors over the past 15
months, the ARCS Board hired a lawyer to create a template that independent
contractors can use for their projects.

This resource is an ARCS member benefit only. It’s FREE for OnContract
members and costs $35 for non-OnContract members. Remember, the OnContract
listing fee is only $20, so consider joining if you engage in contract work.

The template was prepared by Alexandra Darraby, Principal of the
international Art Law Firm and author of the treatise Darraby on Art Law, 3
volumes, 25th Anniversary Edition, coming out in 2021. The template
encompasses issues central to ARCS. It is not intended as legal advice to
any individual member.

“Ask the Art Lawyer” – ARCS will host a 30 minute Zoom meeting July 22,
2021 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Come armed with your questions about the Service
Agreement.

And that’s not all! For a limited time of six (6) months, the Art Law Firm
will offer ARCS members a discounted rate for services. This offer is not
available to ARCS members who are lawyers.

***Introducing the ARCS Resource Kit!***
Have you noticed the changes on the ARCS website? We're excited to
introduce the Resource Kit, a revamped page where you can find everything
from conference recordings to ARCS statements on current events and links
to associated organizations. The resources are divided into six main
subject areas—Collections Care, Exhibitions & Loans, Plans & Policies,
Legal & Ethical Issues, Emergency Preparedness, and Professional
Development—and are tagged with keywords to make searching easier.

Is there a resource you use all the time and want to share with your fellow
ARCS members? Check out the new Resource Submission Form. You can upload
documents and videos and share links to be included on the website (all
submissions are vetted by the Professional Development Resource Task Force
prior to posting). Our goal is to make the Resource Kit an inclusive,
comprehensive resource of interest to a broader group of registrars and
collections specialists.

If you have suggestions or questions about the Resource Kit, please email
[log in to unmask] (subject line: Resource Kit).

***Internship Stipend Now Accepting Applications!***
SPREAD THE WORD!
ARCS is proud to announce that we will be offering internship stipends to
qualified applicants starting in fall 2021. ARCS is committed to advocating
for paid internships in an industry that remains inaccessible to many.
Starting this fall, ARCS will be offering a $1,000 stipend, plus an annual
membership to two applicants pursuing internships in registration and/or
collections management. Candidates are asked to submit their application
materials by July 30 and awardees will be notified by August 16. Applicants
should already have been accepted into an unpaid internship program and
will be asked to submit a letter of support from their internship
supervisor with their application materials.
