Tailoring a Project Management Process for your Library, Archives, or Museum Environment

This class is taught in two, 90-minute sessions over the course of two days. Over the two days we will cover: planning for projects in your environment, developing objectives and project design techniques. Class members will focus on resource management including: effective budgeting, creation and management of timelines and how to develop a strong team. We will also discuss risk and change management in your institution. Additionally, we will determine effective communication focusing on both internal and external strategies. Class members will look at workflows and tools for oversight and implementation; and finally, define project evaluation techniques and establish documentation practices.
