I am not an expert in the area, but I have worked with central and South American ceramics and it looks like it could be from a Central or South American culture. Someone with expertise could narrow it down.

Our museum has been contacted by someone looking to identify something purchased at a flea market in the U.S.. You can see photos of it here: https://imgur.com/a/UfrA9Om .

It does not seem to be Native North American, and people have doubted it was from Europe or the Middle East. Some have thought it might be from South America. (It is also not from Easter Island apparently.)

If anyone has any ideas of what it might be, please let me know.

Many thanks!,
