There is a chemical used to make ammunition primers inert, but cannot recall the name. Following.

Hi everyone,

We were donated a historical matchbox with matches. I am not thrilled having live matches in the storeroom, but I also don’t want to dispose of them.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is there anything I could dip the match heads in to make them nonflammable?

I’d love to hear with any other ideas any of you may have.

Thanks,

Ron Hillel
