I completely agree with Mike Rowe’s assessment, but I don’t think Mike is talking about the same thing.  Mike says to do what you are good at and can succeed.  Kim is describing a situation where you have been doing a job for a while, but now the “spark” has gone out.  She asks, rhetorically one assumes, “What do you do when that happens?”  There is certainly nothing wrong with asking the question, although I think most of us would trudge on until it became unbearable.
