CALL FOR PROPOSALS: SAA Museum Archives Section Standards and Best Practices Working Group 2018 Annual Symposium

In most museums, the archives isn’t the only department stewarding records of archival or permanent value. Other departments, such as curatorial, conservation, and registration, also manage such records and are in charge of all aspects of their care, from preservation to access. Save the date! The symposium will take place on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 9:00-noon, at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington D.C.

Proposals should be less than 300 words. Please email them to Working Group Co-Chairs Megan Schwenke ([log in to unmask]) and Rachel Chatalbash ([log in to unmask]) by Monday, March 26th. Please indicate the intended format and time required for your presentation. Individual and group proposals are encouraged; proposals including the perspectives of those working outside of the archival profession are also welcome.
