*Office & Communications Manager *

Shaker Heritage Society in Albany, NY is seeking candidates for a new
position that provides essential support for daily operations. This is a
part time position with a Tuesday through Friday 10am-4pm work schedule.
Additional night/weekend hours may be available. The pay rate is $14.50/hr.

on gift shop merchandise. The Society cultivates a collaborative,
supportive working environment for its staff and volunteers. The Office and
Communications Manager will report to the Executive Director, Starlyn
D’Angelo.

*Primary duties include the following:*

*Track donations, event & program registrations and generate reports using
a Little Green Light Database

*Manage written, mail, and digital correspondence with vendors, donors,
volunteers, board and other stakeholders

*Order office supplies and maintain operations files

*Organize and document board, committee and staff meeting minutes

*Ensure that phone systems and digital platform information regarding
operating hours, program information, etc. are updated and accurate

*Maintain internal calendars including volunteer schedule, staff calendar
and project deadlines

*Open mail, enter payroll and handle other misc. administrative tasks

*Staff the gift shop and greet visitors as needed. Assist with gift shop
functions including on-line sales

*Qualifications:*

*The office manager must have strong computer skills and enjoy using the
latest information technology and social media platforms to efficiently
manage workflow, data, and communications

*Self-directed but able to work in a collaborative environment

*Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and complete tasks
on time

*Must be a strong communicator with good writing skills

*Thrive on work that requires a great deal of attention to detail

*Possess a motivated, goal oriented work ethic with strong customer service
and problem solving skills

*Minimum of an Associate’s degree required

*Basic graphic design skills strongly preferred but not required
