Retouching modern and contemporary paintings

Rachel Barker, accredited conservator specialized in the conservation of modern and contemporary paintings and has worked at Tate in London since 1999.
During this time, Rachel has been involved in a number of high profile projects mainly the conservation of Agnes Martin’s "Morning" and most recently the restauration of vandalized Rothko "Untitled Black of Maroon" in 2014. This restauration received widespread recognition and the project won the Anna Plowden Award for Research in Conservation in 2015.
