Dear Mary,

Since I have taught the "Museum as Learning Environment" course for the
past several years, it's possible that we have met. I don't recall. In any
case, as a previous adjunct faculty member and GWU museum education program
alum, I am wondering if I might be able to audit this series of courses
referenced in your email. I recently took a position to oversee a 15 acre
historic site outside of Denver with a collection of about 35,000
artifacts. The content of the courses is what I'm interested in. Although a
certificate would be wonderful, I don't think it is realistic for me to
devote the time necessary for me to take the courses for credit. It would
just be helpful to know more about best practices in the handling and
management of collections as our site determines whether AAM accreditation
is something we are ready to pursue.

Thanks very much for your consideration!
