Churchill Weavers collection research funding opportunity from the Kentucky Historical Society.

Churchill Weavers, founded in Berea, Kentucky, in 1922, helped put Kentucky handweaving on the map. David and Eleanor Churchill brought multiple innovations to the traditional business, from production practices to marketing tactics. Their products included baby blankets, neckties, throws - and even a NASA-commissioned experimental cloth. KHS has Churchill Weavers' business records and a massive textile archive - the collection provides research opportunities for scholars of business, textiles, Appalachia, and social and labor history.
