Jamie,If you don't mind, a side conversation...I'm in the social media end of things and sincerely hope that the Museum also makes @MollyBrownHouse and other platforms welcoming to blind and low vision followers. As yet, have you had the opportunity to adjust your Twitter settings to allow the followers' screen readers to work with descriptive text embed into your photos/graphic images? I guess I should have first asked, are you embedding text? I've noticed your tweets often call for clicks to other platforms -- do you ensure a smooth experience? Have you explored the issues traveling from Twitter to Instagram, or Facebook, etc., bring your no/low vision users?FrannMarie JacintoThe Extroverted Museum Initiative@ExtrovertedMuse
We are currently working on making a braille version of all our materials here at the museum including our rack card, translation guide, event brochure, etc. I have reached out to couple organizations for help but have not heard back.
I am wondering if anyone has any success in this and would be willing to share their resources or anything to help us as we move forward with this.
Thanks!
Kindly,
Jamie
