Executive Director Position open at the Kodiak Historical Society. The Kodiak Historical Society (KHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 1954 with a mission to preserve and share Kodiak history. KHS and the Baranov Museum are located within a c. 1808 National Historic Landmark facility, owned by the City of Kodiak, for which the KHS provides general on-site stewardship. The Executive Director is the leader of the Baranov Museum, oversees an annual budget of approximately $350,000, and supervises a staff of six. The E.D. acts as the organization's chief advocate and ambassador, representing the museum to donors, partners and the Kodiak community. The position provides leadership in program development, staff organization, and financial planning for operations, facilities, collections and programming.
