Great idea!

You should really try to match a conservator to your type of collection. Do you have primarily works of art on paper such as pastels or watercolors? Or do you have mostly archival collections such as letters and documents? (Photos are a whole other conservation specialty). Or do you have historic paper based collections of prints and maps?

Washington D.C. has one of the largest collections of conservators in the USA so you have a great base to choose from.
