Hi Jan and Michelle,

There's a wonderful scene in the Robin Williams movie Awakenings that shows what Jan is talking about very well.

Hi Michele,

One thing you might want to consider is that printed flooring can be very difficult for navigation by people with vision loss and some brain-based disabilities. The flooring can create optical illusions other than the ones you're planning — light colors rise, dark recede, some look like the floor is slippery — people are unsure where it is safe to step. It's a good idea if you choose to use printed flooring that you provide a path of travel that doesn't require walking over the design.

Just a thought.

Hi everyone -

We are considering using permanent printed flooring treatments in our new history museum space. Ideas include a large map on the floor, floor that looks like grass, dirt or a construction site.

Does anyone have experience with these? Do you like them? Do visitors comment on them? How’s the wear?

Thank you and happy holidays!
