The first U.S. White House ScienceFrontiers Conference, co-hosted by Carnegie Mellon University and theUniversity of Pittsburgh, occurred Thursday (October 13) on the twouniversity campuses in Pittsburgh. This included the annual WhiteHouse Astronomy Night at the University of Pittsburgh's historic AlleghenyObservatory.
