Raiser's Edge Development Specialist

 

Summary Description:

The Development Specialist is responsible for the management and organizational use of The Raiser's Edge database system which supports the fund development and membership efforts of The Florida Holocaust Museum (The FHM). This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining clean data and is interested in developing and expanding The FHM's use of Raiser's Edge.

Reports To:         Director of Advancement

 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Constituent Data Management and Events Support

·         Enter constituent data and gifts, including offline and online gifts, employee matching, and stock transfers

·         Preparation of gift acknowledgement letters and year-end tax receipt

·         Provide support during events, including setting up events/appeals/attributes in RE, importing and managing participant data, developing reports and queries, and processes to ensure the smooth registration of guests

·         Coordinate with finance department to ensure that gift data is properly coded and reconciled in the accounting software

·         Segment, create and run queries, exports and reports as needed

 

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor Degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience required

·         2 to 3 years minimum of progressively responsible experience managing The Raiser's Edge fundraising database

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Experience in answering membership and donor inquiries and requests in a friendly and direct manner

·         Ability to work well under pressure, with a wide variety of people, and to prioritize tasks and complete tasks independently with little direct supervision

·         Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

·         Commitment to maintain confidentiality and degree of accuracy in donor records
