The BLM-Anasazi Heritage Center (BLM-AHC) in Dolores, Colorado is offering one Curation internship for Academic Year 2017 (25 weeks/40 hours per week- 1000 hours, typically January- early July).
This position offers broad exposure to the curatorial operations of a Federal archaeological repository. The curation intern serves as a general curatorial assistant involved in a variety of tasks at the AHC. Duties include cataloging southwest archaeological artifacts using the AHC ICMS cataloging system, as well as assisting with the AHC Integrated Pest Management Program, various repackaging, reorganizing, and inventory projects of existing collections at the AHC. Interns assist with researchers and public tours of the curation facility as well.
Housing is provided, as well as a $12 per hour stipend. Intern must provide personal transportation.
