Can you have earned revenue? Even if general admission is free, offer some special programming or events that generates income, speaker fees, museum shop, and/or rental of space?  Long term – endowments & bequests that generate investment income?

Hello! This is the first time I've ever worked at a free museum. My museum is a private 501-c-3. Does anyone have experience with building revenue in such a facility?
