The New Mexico Museum of Art (Santa Fe) is seeking a curator who will be responsible for the museum's significant collection of paintings, works on paper, three-dimensional artwork and historic furniture, including the development, interpretation, exhibition and information dissemination of the collection. The curator will ensure that collections are preserved and accessible to the public; will plan, develop, research, document and implement exhibitions and related projects; develop the collection through new acquisitions; contribute content to the cataloging and information files related to the collection, ensuring that information is complete, accurate, and up to date; and will help maintain accurate records and care of the collection in compliance with museum standards. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of American and international art with an emphasis on Southwest 20th century art. The curator will contribute as a member of the curatorial team and contribute to the overall curatorial department operation. The candidate will need to be comfortable working on projects well outside his/her areas of formal training and expertise.

Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $23.31 per hour.
