COORDINATOR OF EVENTS, MEMBERSHIP, AND VISITOR SERVICES (PROGRAM COORDINATOR I) - (T39261)

Description

 

The Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts seeks a dynamic, detail-focused, and team-oriented, Coordinator of Events, Membership, and Visitor Services, to join the AEIVA staff.

 

Under general supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel and logistical support for a defined department program. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May supervise support staff. Communicates, using a variety of media, with internal and external constituencies. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. May handle data management.

 

This position will require an irregular and flexible work week schedule and will require regular working of weekend hours and evening hours to facilitate AEIVA gallery open hours and AEIVA events. The position includes coordination of AEIVA front desk operations and the position will office at the AEIVA front desk. In many instances the position will serve as the first point-of-contact with AEIVA for a variety of visitors and AEIVA constituents including students, faculty, community visitors, campus visitors, and AEIVA members, donors, and supporters. The successful candidate will also be in charge of mailing lists, e-lists and e-communication, and event planning.

Hourly Pay Range: $13.10 - $20.42

 

Qualifications

 High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required. 

 

In addition to ample administrative experience, the ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about or have experience in studio art, art history, arts administration, or museum studies.
