PRESERVATION 101 – ADDITIONAL  COURSE ADDED

NEDCC’s Preservation 101 Spring 2016 facilitated course SOLD OUT this time and we had a waiting list of over 15 people!
So we have added an additional  Preservation 101 course this fall, from September 8 - November 17.
(Next course – June-August 2017)

 

The Preservation 101 course is an interactive online course. A series of 10 webinars builds on self-paced study between sessions, using assigned readings and other resources to supplement the “classroom” discussions.  The course is designed to provide a foundation for effective collections stewardship by guiding participants through preservation topics such as environmental management, deterioration of materials, and emergency preparedness. The new course features expanded coverage of audiovisual and digital formats. Certificate of Completion / 20 ARCs.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
- Staff and volunteers at cultural heritage institutions who are responsible for preservation and access projects
- Town clerks, county commissioners, and other municipal records holders
- Corporate archivists and records managers in need of preservation training
- Students or graduates of library and information science
