OFFICE AND EVENTS MANAGER


PURPOSE:
The duties of the Office Manager ensure the smooth daily operations of the Clarke Historical Museum. The primary responsibilities include inputting all financial records into QuickBooks, making purchases and creating displays for the gift shop, scheduling volunteers to work in the gift shop, and when unable to find volunteers, work in the gift shop. The Event Manager's responsibilities are to assist the Director, Museum Coordinator, Programs Committee and the Board of Directors in the development and implementation of public programs and events.  The Events Manager will help raise funds through special events and help in establishing an annual budget and fundraising goals, along with identifying prospective donors and enlisting support.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be proficient in QuickBooks and have experience in book keeping, payroll and managing a gift shop. Prefer a minimum of two years' experience.


Other Requirements:

Ability to pass a criminal record background check. Valid California driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a vehicle for work.


WAGE: 32 hours a week, $12 an hour.


BENEFITS: Benefits per current Personnel Policies include:

Paid sick and vacation days. 5 vacation days each year after probationary period, accrued semimonthly at the rate of 1.67 hours per pay period; after 2 years of eligible service the employee is entitled to 7 vacation days each year, accrued semimonthly at the rate of 2.33 hours per pay period; after 5 years of eligible service the employee is entitled to 10 vacation days each year, accrued semimonthly at the rate of 3.33 hours per pay period.
