EVENTS COORDINATOR (PART-TIME)

 

Hourly: $13/hour

 

Fraunces Tavern Museum is seeking a responsible and outgoing individual to assist the Museum with a variety of evening and weekend events. This position requires a flexible schedule and the professional experience to represent the Museum and ensure the quality of its programs. The Events Coordinator will report to the Education & Public Programs Coordinator and will work with multiple departments.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Handle non-admissions cash and credit transactions

·        Coordinate logistics for on and off site public and private events

·         Set up/breakdown for public and private events

·        Supervise and act as day-of-contact person for public and private events 

·         Maintain Gift Shop stock 

·        When onsite, outside of administrative hours, serve as the point of contact for the Museum 

·         Lead 90 minute private Guided Tours through gallery spaces 

 

REQUIREMENTS

·         Experience working in a Museum setting or events background

·         Flexible schedule; able to work weekday evenings and weekends

·         Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

·         Experience handling cash and credit transactions

·         Ability to work on their feet for several hours

·         Possesses strong communication skills

·         Must be comfortable working alone without direct supervision

·         Must be a motivated independent worker

·         Possesses excellent organization skills
