I'm looking for your take on a delicate situation. I applied for a position in a different department at my museum, as an internal candidate. The posting was listed as the same pay grade as my current position, so I wasn't concerned. Until the interview, when HR told me it was a possibility that the pay would actually be less, reverting back to the minimum for the pay grade range.Does this make sense? Does it have to do with department budgets? Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me, because I find it upsetting.Rachel Smith
