Assistant Director, Art Gallery New York City For our celebrated Art Gallery client we are seeking an Assistant Director. Working closely with the Gallery Director, the successful candidate will assist with all aspects of complex exhibition and art fair schedules. Duties include: assist with consignments; assist with and create art fair proposals; manage and update all inventory databases; provide phone and correspondence support as needed; liaise with artists and clients and address their requests; assist with special projects as directed; other duties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in an administrative role at a major art gallery, auction house or equivalent, excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills, knowledge of postwar and contemporary art with a focus on blue chip American painting and the ability to manage a diverse calendar of professional obligations.
