PR and Social Media Associate, Art Gallery, New York City
For our distinguished art gallery client we are seeking a Gallery Associate. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of a strategic public relations plan and related social media outreach. Duties include: oversee PR and communications; strategize and implement gallery press plan; write and distribute press releases and support materials; liaise with and develop press contacts; oversee advertising and related budgets and schedules; manage and maintain all social media accounts; update website; oversee design and production of invitations; assist with planning and overseeing all openings, events and programs; respond to queries; other duties as necessary. The ideal applicant will have at least 3 years’ experience with an art gallery or arts business with a focus on public relations, knowledge of art press and online platforms and excellent communications, time management and organizational skills. BA and knowledge of Photoshop and Microsoft Office required. An exciting opportunity for an outgoing and proactive professional to thrive in an team-oriented environment.
