Senior Business Development Director, Online Auction House, New York City
For our global online auction house client we are seeking a Senior Business Development Director. Reporting to and working with the Managing Director, the successful applicant will oversee Specialist Departments and develop opportunities to expand the client base. Duties include: identify and create relationships with advisors, appraisers estate managers and other professionals in the Trusts & Estates community; position the auction house as a strategic resource for art liquidation and acquisitions; develop a program of events, partnerships and opportunities to increase the client base; work with Specialist teams to source consignments; work with the Marketing and Live Auction teams to create marketing support materials, mailings, brochures and programming; other duties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years’ experience in business development with a major auction house; proven track record of client development; and excellent leadership, communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
